I live for helping entrepreneurs and companies build their success stories.
So when I hear…
“I have a message I want to share with the world…”
“I know our company could be so much farther along if we had better products to offer…”
“I have an online business just waiting to be launched…”
It gives me goosebumps because these people really have a greater vision for the future. And I know I can help them turn that vision into a reality.
For the last 25 years, I’ve had the honor of helping entrepreneurs, top CEOs, experts in their field, growth-stage companies and big brands turn intangible concepts into world-class content, marketable products and training programs. It’s the driving force behind everything I do and what gets me out of bed every morning. (Well, that and my energetic boys.)
Of course, building a business that brings ideas to life didn’t happen overnight.
(Nothing ever does, right?) When people ask me how I got here, I can think of a number of reasons. From growing up in a small town in New York that was the corporate headquarters of a Fortune 500 multinational technology company, I was entrenched in corporate culture since I was a little girl. From my days at Brown University, where I studied psychology and economics and started shaping my critical thinking skills and academic rigor. And later from my time working alongside a legendary peak performance coach, who taught me how to create content that was meaningful to people and taught them how to incorporate it into their lives.
But it was one defining moment that set the stage for the convergence of those three elements of my life and ultimately led me to where I stand today.
Backing up a bit, I had the privilege of working for renowned author, speaker and business strategist Tony Robbins for 18 years. I started out answering phones at the switchboard (lots of accidental hang-ups were my specialty), and worked my way up, eventually serving as Executive Vice President of Content & Product Development. I was part of building the company, and had a leadership role in creating products, coaching programs and live events.

I considered it my dream job. “It was exhilarating . . . and exhausting.”
I was working 80 hours a week, and ‘just getting by’ in my home life. I remember having to race home every night to hopefully get a chance to kiss my kids before they went to bed.
I began to realize that as long as I had a job, no matter how great that job was, I was never going to have the lifestyle or the impact I wanted as long as I was trading my time for money.
Then, almost 10 years ago, my life came crashing down.
My mother, a constant in my life since I was a kid, died. My mom was a superhero to me, someone who was always there when I needed her, the one person I could count on for advice or comfort. Always. She was my rock. And just 5 ½ weeks after being diagnosed with lung cancer, she was gone. I was devastated, lost. In a flash, the rug had been pulled out from underneath me.
My mom was a piano teacher who used music as a springboard for profound life lessons. She traveled the world teaching, and along the way, taught me so many things about life and what we’re put on this earth for in the first place. While at her bedside during her final days, she would remind me how precious and fleeting life was, and that whatever time on earth we have is a gift. And that gift should not be selfishly squandered.
Her favorite quote was from Dr. Wayne Dyer:
We come into this world with nothing, we leave this world with nothing. All we have is what we give while we’re here.
It made me stop and think. Hard.
I was at this dream job that I loved, but I was working all the time. For what? Money? Professional fulfillment? I realized how superficial those things were. I was playing small. I was not living up to my potential of the gifts I was here to give. I realized I was missing the most important thing in my life: time with my family.
So I walked away.
I started over, and began building my own business – on my terms. It was scary at first (OK, it was terrifying), and there were many bumps and setbacks along the way. There still are, but ultimately it was the right decision. I’ve realized that by helping entrepreneurs and companies create products and content for their customers, I can impact lives more directly and exponentially.
And the greatest pleasure is being able to do that alongside my husband and business partner, Chris, and our two boys.
I’m present now, and relish being able to pick up my kids from school and talk about how their day went. (It’s the little things, right?)
Writing two best-selling books – The Art of Impact and Make Market Launch IT – helped get my message about how to bring ideas to life out to a wider audience. And along the way I’ve had the privilege of serving hundreds of clients, including Mike Koenigs, Bo Eason, Jordan Belfort (Wolf of Wall Street), Ryan Levesque, Frank Kern, Oren Klaff (Pitch Anything), Mary Morrissey, SUCCESS magazine, Relationships First and the Medical Billing Advocates of America. I’m also a board member of TestingMom.com and MedCircle.com.
I feel so blessed that what I’m doing today is a way of extending my
mother’s legacy.
She was able to see people’s gifts through music. Now I’m able to help entrepreneurs and businesses share their gifts, whether it’s with a new product, training course, book, or speech. Being able to play a role in making those ideas real with compelling content that’s meaningful to people? That’s the best gift of all.
