I’ve learned a lot of lessons from my two boys—especially how to be fearless, and play full out.
It started from when they were babies jamming everything into their mouths and continues today when I watch them face new experiences undaunted. Facing a scary overgrown pitcher in Little League? Check. Skiing down Mammoth Mountain’s black diamond trails? Check and check.
We were all fearless kids once. So at a certain point, many of us likely realized there were consequences to some of our actions, and we slowly started to pull back.
While that serves us in certain parts of our lives, that hesitation may be holding you back from delivering your best work.
In this week’s video blog, I want to remind you of something you were innately born with. It can make the difference between you reaching your potential now—or missing a big opportunity that could be right in front of you.
Enjoy the video—and let me know in the comments if this video struck a chord with you.

Pam, there are a number of reasons why this video is outstanding.
For example: you delivered it with finesse, that’s not something I see very often (and I watch a lot of videos). The flow of your speech and the depth of emotional understanding that you conveyed perfectly harmonized with the message you presented.
Confidence, is a crucial factor in each phase of a project, confidence in your initial idea, confidence in developing that idea, confidence in releasing the product of your idea and confidence to continue promoting it until you are confident that it has successfully run it’s course (or has delivered a different result than you desired).
The music reference definitely hit home for me. It explains why I feel most confident about my “performances” delivered alone in my practice space. That is where and when I am not at all concerned about making mistakes and I just “go for it”. That is the type of confident energy I desire to share in my public appearances.

Thank you so much, Philip. That means a lot! Sharing confident energy in public is challenging for most of us. I still get nervous before I go on stage to do a talk. The key for me has been practice. Every time, it gets a little easier. Thank you so much for your comment, and keep in touch as you progress!

Hi Pam, I have watched some of your videos, brilliant. I’m an engineer, not in business but just self published my first 50 page book ‘Wake-Up Calls’. I’ve that fear how am I going to sell 350 books I already ordered from the publisher. I have given away some of the copies to get some feed-back but not sold any as a direct sell. watching your last video I’ve built some confidence and courage to ask within my friend circle to buy copies from me. I’m going to try different strategy, if they don’t like the book can get refund. Any suggestions from you will be appreciated.
