The following were written in November 1997 by my dad, William Bigler, who was a highly successful process engineer and project manager for Corning, Inc. for over 40 years. These principles are a compilation of the most important lessons he learned about product manufacturing, project management—and life. He shared them with me, and now I’m sharing them with you.
succinct. loved it!
Thanks, Laurie! I appreciate your feedback. 🙂
Hi Pam, So true! I particularly liked the ‘Self Discipline’ quote. I have been developing new habits for this year that require self discipline. And it’s been working well. Nicole.
That’s HUGE Nicole. I’ve been studying a lot of early personal development (Napoleon Hill, Norman Vincent Peale, Earl Nightingale) and so much of it ties back to self discipline. Definitely a game changer! Congrats to you!
Those are fantastic Pam. Thanks for sharing the wisdom your father passed onto you.
This is great – thanks for sharing it!
My favorite is the quote on balance. Of course, it takes self discipline to achieve it.
Sharing is caring. Thank you, Pam
Thank you Pam for sharing the wisdom of your Dad. He certainly left you a legacy that I will
try to follow. He was a wise man. I will especially work on self-discipline.
These are great! I’m totally “borrowing”! Will be sure to give your dad credit for his wise words. 🙂
These are great Pam! I think my Dad shared something similar with me-I need to interview him on my next visit with him! Like your father, my Dad was a big champion of mine as I did my best to work through the mine fields of being the first woman in many corporate board rooms in the 80’s, 90’s and beyond after university. My Dad worked at 3M for more than 40 years and was a passionate crusader for recognizing the potential of women and actually did something about it…he is deeply loved and respected by many-even today at 87 years young. What a great legacy. The lesson about Decisions resonates deeply with me. As an entrepreneur today, “Be An Informed Dictator.”-YES!
Dear Pam
A heartfelt “Hello” from the bottom of my heart.
I’m very lucky that I have you as a wise and trusted friend.
I can say with absolute certainty that this post was great.
I loved it and I wanna say thank you again and again…
In love and light.
