As I was preparing my usual strategy training for you, I hit a small rough patch in my business . . . or so I thought.
So rather than pretend I’m feeling great and do my normal thing, I thought I’d bail on my plan and tell you what’s really been on my mind.
Of course there are some good lessons here (including what happens when you buy your Halloween candy too early). I’ll also share the mindset strategies that helped me stay productive and focused during this rough patch (and tell you where to find the BEST video game ever when you need a break!):
How do you pull yourself up when you get in a downward spiral? Leave me a comment below. I’d love to know.

Hi Pam,
If I could eat just one piece of chocolate, that would make me happy. I love that feeling of well-being and euphoria. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. I like your advice about not buying Halloween candy in advance. I’m out buying more today because mine mysteriosly vanished over the weekend.
Seriously, gratitude helps tremendously. Most of us have so much to be grateful for and we often lose sight of that. I also find listening or watching a high-energy, positive speaking, motivating CD or DVD can often snap me out of a funk. Turn off the news, be very selective with TV programs (Bloomberg Risk Takers is great) and avoid negative people also helps a great deal.
Thanks for your insights. All good stuff!

Thanks Mandy! With my tail between my legs, I bought more candy this weekend and actually asked my kids to hide it from me until tonight. Scary. The good news is we’ll get miles of walking in as the kids trick-or-treat. I’ll check out the TV show you mentioned – agree about inspirational CDs/DVDs and if you haven’t heard Tony Robbins’ Ultimate Edge yet it’s a MUST. You can download the first session for free at http://www.tonyrobbins.com – best audio ever made in this arena (in my humble opinion). HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Pam!
Just what I needed to hear today. I have been lazy with my gratitude journal, overwhelmed with starting a new business and everything you said I can relate to and needed to hear today! Thanks for the refresher.
Can’t wait for the webinar!

Thanks Pam! This was a really great video! There’s not a big group of successful entrepreneurs who would take the time to “be real” and share like you do. It is with that connection that I look forward to hearing from you even more… This IS not an easy business, and you made me realize today that I should be grateful for getting to the point in my life that I am, and taking a moment to realize where I came from only a few years ago. Thank you and I’ll be looking forward to hearing about your new launch!

Thanks Lisa! Appreciate the note…and think it’s important to share the realities of starting your own biz…both the awesome benefits and the bumps in the road along the way. We all have them! Hope to see you soon! 🙂

Hi Pam, loved the personal touch, we do tend to beat ourselves when things don’t go as we expected them, not understanding that expectations are the killer of happiness.
Thanks for the share
