Do you ever play the “it’s so crazy” game?
Here’s a simple test: when your friends, colleagues or neighbors ask, “How are you?” do you reply, “It’s so crazy right now.” 🙂 Or do you feel so completely overwhelmed by what feels like a million obligations that you’ve taken on to grow your business that you’re left running around like a crazy chicken?
I was in that position a little over a week ago, staring at a long to-do list to wrap up my recent Marketing Roadmap launch, PLUS a second list of all the things I need to keep growing my business for the rest of the year.
And then I had a realization that I want to share with you. In my return to my weekly blog series, I’ll show you a quick and simple solution to end the “it’s so crazy” game for good—while helping you continue to create more revenue in your business.
Have a question for me? Leave me a comment below the blog, and I might pick your question for a future blog topic. I’d love to know what’s on your mind so I can get you the answers you need.

I’m going to pass one technical exam to get me further in my business. Been talking about it for a while; now it’s time to do it.

Great! Making a decision is the first and more important step in getting where you want to go. Keep me posted about how it’s going! I do think it’s great to be able to do some of the technical stuff – gives you so many more options in your business. Congratulations!

Great video! Thanks!
I really want to find out how to get my audio version of my workshop downloaded on a convenient format in order to offer it to my lst. (it’s sitting in garage band, about 12 hours worth). I need to find out what technology do I use? Also I have webinarjam but have not used it and want to produce a great webinar that leads to the beta testing of the workhsop on audio. Those two things are hanging me up.

One of my coaches likes to say Overwhelmed is Under Planned. I like to use Steven Covey’s 7 Habits matrix of Urgency and Importance to get a handle on what REALLY needs to be done next.

I loved this video in spite of the fact that it really hit home–I really resonate with what you have to say, Pam. So, thank you for some well-timed wisdom on this subject. I am launching a program is less than a month and I need to focus on that and let go of my addiction to learning everything there is to know about Internet marketing and visual storytelling (this relates to my program’s subject). I’m afraid I’ve been trying to pull off the “57 things” you mention…and it’s just not working.

Hi Pam, life gets busy doing several things at a time sometimes just to get the money in to be able to pay the bills. What would you suggest to help keep a balance in business life. I work full time and my business is currently part time. Trying hard to make enough money in the business so that I can do it full time.

Maria,
Great question! First, schedule in the things for your personal life and that take care of YOU first. Lock it into your schedule before you put the business stuff on top. In addition, you’re doing the right thing by staying in your full time job until your business can sustain you – stay associated to your big why and just know it’ll be a bit busier for a year or so, but it’ll be worth it!
