When it comes to making your customers happy, it really comes down to one thing: Honesty.
According to a study by PR firm Cohn & Wolfe, the most important behavior that customers would like to see from brands is “communicating honestly about products and services.”
That’s it. So simple yet sometimes brands get it so wrong (see Volkswagen, FIFA, BP).
For this week’s business blog I have a few recent experiences of my own that I wanted to share, along with five ways to build a stronger relationship with your customers.
As you watch, ask yourself: What are you doing to continually improve as you reach new audiences? Make sure to leave me a comment to let me know what you’re doing to build trust with your core customers!

Thank you, Pam!
This is great advice and a great reminder.
I tend to want to overdeliver and making promises is one of my ways to push through and stay accountable in front of my audience.
It is a challenge to balance between realistic expectations towards myself and what I can deliver and my ambitions of what I want it to be like.
How do you balance your ideas and strong wish to succeed with the reality of time and the fact that there are multiple other things to juggle with in your life?
Thanks for putting outstanding work out there.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, Dilyana! I think for me it’s about priorities, and what do I truly want for my business? We really pride ourselves on delivering for our customers, but we never forget to do a gut check: Can we deliver an experience at the highest standard while staying true to the commitments we have made in our personal and professional lives?

Well said Pam, Thank you so much for this. My beleif is that today’s days with technology taking over our work, authenticity becomes out of sight and that’s why honest costumer service is so seldom and is the the strongest way to get costumers to trust us. Thanks again. Sarah
